    Hello – Welcome to the community :)

    Since all themes are built differently and created by various developers, your website structure may be unique compared to most standard WP sites. Luckily, we anticipated such a scenario and it requires a very simple step to address issues with clickable zones or background takeover images being visible for specific WordPress themes. Please follow the instructions below:

    1. Go to your All Ads page and scroll down until you see a box labeled Advanced Settings.
    2. Open this setting box and change the Main DOM Element for clickable area from body to #td-outer-wrap
    3. Click Save Settings.

    Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with today. All the best.

    Hello Impuls – We always honor our refund policy. So there’s no need to be harsh. Regardless, your refund has been processed, and we wish you the best.

    To be clear, we have over 10,000 sites running this same plugin, and therefore are confident about the soundness of the plugin. However, if you have a completely weird site that is coded in an unusual way, then you’ll likely need to update the DOM element specific to YOUR site. Every site is different, has different themes, different plugins, and different code so it is unreasonable to expect this type of plugin to be made to suit your site out-of-the-box. A chance to troubleshoot and review is required.

    Hello Peter,

    Welcome to the community :)

    We understand the problem you are facing, and here is my suggestion.

    The DOM element for your site would be .tdc-content-wrap.
    Therefore you can use JS or jQuery to check if that particular DOM element has a background image or not – if it does, you can add css to that particular element.

    ========================================================
    Example jQuery Code
    if ($(‘.tdc-content-wrap’).css(‘background-image’) != ‘none’) {
    $(“ELEMENT TO BE PUSHED DOWN”).css(“margin-top”,”10%”);
    }
    ========================================================

    Also if you wouldn’t mind, we have a couple of other suggestions –

    For the following element – .wpb_row, you could give it a white background. Therefore your content will always be readable.

    Also if for that specific DOM element – for which you are using our plugin, doesn’t have any other background image, you can use the css property of background-position-y to vertically position the image if ever need be.

    Please let us know if the jQuery code method works for you,

    Thank you,

    Hello Paul,

    Can you provide us a few more details as to the issue you are facing? It would be helpful for us if you can provide a couple of screenshots regarding the issue. We checked your registered / active site – http://www.goldcoasthash.org/, but on this site, we saw that the image was displaying as it should and the links were clickable as well. Please see attached image.

    GoldCoast - Background Takeover

    We see that at lower screen sizes – < 1600px, the Facebook Logo and the Gold Coast image gets cropped. If that is the issue you are facing, We suggest that you make your background image using the lowest screen size (around 1100 - 1200px) as references - and in the Style Options under Edit Ad - Select Yes in the background - stretch option. This will enable the image to fill up the screen at higher screen sizes. Please see attached image. background-stretch-display

    Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else today,

    Hello Yerbol,

    Hope you are having a good day,

    When the plugin is deleted, all of its data is deleted along with it, you will have also received a window alert that asks you if you are sure whether you want to delete the plugin and all its data. However, when you update a plugin, the data is not lost, only the affected files are updated with the changes in them.

    Please let me know if I can help you with anything else today,

    Thank you

    Hello Jeff,

    We checked the plugin at our end, and we weren’t able to recreate the issue – the filters button opened up the modal, and applied the filters as it should, ideally. Also, we have not received any tickets regarding the same. Therefore we think, it is most likely a plugin / theme conflict.

    Please send us a screenshot of your settings and the steps you are following, and please try the steps below.

    Plugin or theme conflicts can cause our product to function unexpectedly or not at all, which is why testing for this conflict is very important.

    We recommend that you perform this test on your staging site and that you backup your site.  If you do not have a staging site then you might not be able to perform this test as deactivating plugins or your theme will greatly impact the look and functionality of your site.

    Before you perform this test please make sure you have the latest version of our productWordPress and PHP.

    1. Deactivate all other plugins on your site besides our plugin
    2. Test to see if the plugins features work as you would expect.  If they do work then you have a plugin conflict.  You should now activate each plugin on your site one by one until our plugin’s features do not work.  This will help you determine what plugin exactly is causing the conflict.
    3. If our product still is not functioning properly, then you can try to deactivate your theme to see if there is a theme conflict.  This is a last resort and should only be done if you have a staging site or your site has not gone live yet.  If our product works after deactivating your theme then you have a theme conflicts, but if our product still does not work then it appears that our product has a bug.
    4. If you have completed all of these tests and our product does not function properly with a default WordPress theme like twenty twelve and all plugins deactivated, then it seems that our product has a bug and we will continue to work with you to solve this issue.

    Please let us know if you have any questions about this conflict testing procedure.

    Hello Iain,

    We tested the plugin and we weren’t able to recreate the problem on our end. Also we haven’t received any similar ticket, and therefore we believe it could be conflicting plugin or theme that is causing the issue for you.

    To help us assist you further, can you please send us a screenshot of the issue you are facing, and of the settings you are currently using in the FireBar plugin.

    Thank you,
    Jay

    It’s likely the host is preventing the cron from running. Therefore, please ask your host to enable the cron for your WordPress install or to ensure the wp-cron is not limited by them. Let them know that you have a cron that needs to run every couple of minutes.

    Please keep us updated with the results.

    Thank you,
