    Hello Jensen – Please try the DOM Element as .main-wrap

    However, we see that the slider at the top is full-width and might not allow you to click the background, just for the height of that section. In case you want to be able to click that area as well, you can use the following CSS Snippet:

    .common-slider.grid-b-slider{
       max-width: 1170px;
       margin:38px auto 0;
    }

    Hope this helps, Please keep us updated!

    Thank you,

    Hello Dmitrij – It seems like the plugin has been set to display on certain pages rather than across the site. To verify this, please go to the plugin settings > Edit AD > Display Settings > Location Settings > Select Show Ad across entire site.

    If it is already set to show across the site – Then we are inclined to think this is a plugin or theme conflict.

    After exhausting all other forms of debugging it might be best to check for plugin or theme conflicts.  Plugin or theme conflicts can cause our product to function unexpectedly or not at all, which is why testing for this conflict is very important.

    We recommend that you perform this test on your staging site and that you backup your site.  If you do not have a staging site then you might not be able to perform this test as deactivating plugins or your theme will greatly impact the look and functionality of your site.

    Before you perform this test please make sure you have the latest version of our productWordPress and PHP.

    1. Deactivate all other plugins on your site besides our plugin
    2. Test to see if the plugins features work as you would expect.  If they do work then you have a plugin conflict.  You should now activate each plugin on your site one by one until our plugin’s features do not work.  This will help you determine what plugin exactly is causing the conflict.
    3. If our product still is not functioning properly, then you can try to deactivate your theme to see if there is a theme conflict.  This is a last resort and should only be done if you have a staging site or your site has not gone live yet.  If our product works after deactivating your theme then you have a theme conflicts, but if our product still does not work then it appears that our product has a bug.
    4. If you have completed all of these tests and our product does not function properly with a default WordPress theme like twenty twelve and all plugins deactivated, then it seems that our product has a bug and we will continue to work with you to solve this issue.

    Please let us know if you have any questions about this conflict testing procedure.

    Hello Dmitrij – We took a look at the plugin on our end, and we were unable to find any issue. As we can see the link redirects to https://pczone.ie/ where we are unable to see any background image.

    Can you please send us a screenshot of how it looks on your end? Also can you please send us the device and the browser you are working on, as that would help us debug better.

    Thank you,

    Hello Dmitrij – This is a simple thing to fix.

    Quick question – are you still referring to http://tiny.cc/fxqd5y as, on that site, we are unable to see the plugin active.

    Generally, our one link option indicates that both sides of the site would link to the same URL, however, if you would like only one of the sides to be clickable – you can select the two links option and set the other URL to #. This way, that right side will not link to any other page.

    Please let us know if you have any questions,

    Hello Stemar – We have identified the DOM element for you, It is – .main-content.

    2. For the sub-category issue – Please make sure that you are using Specific Category ID inside of the Display Settings are in the plugin settings. We doubled check this on our end and it is working just as it should. Also, we have not received, any other similar tickets regarding this topic, therefore we are inclined to think it is an issue on your site.

    If the above step doesn’t work, we would recommend testing for a conflict.

    Hello – Welcome to the community :)

    Since all themes are built differently and created by various developers, your website structure may be unique compared to most standard WP sites. Luckily, we anticipated such a scenario and it requires a very simple step to address issues with clickable zones or background takeover images being visible for specific WordPress themes. Please follow the instructions below:

    1. Go to your All Ads page and scroll down until you see a box labeled Advanced Settings.
    2. Open this setting box and change the Main DOM Element for clickable area from body to #page
    3. Click Save Settings.

    Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with today. All the best.

    Hello Dmitrij – It seems like your website theme does not use the full width of the page. As we can see the body of the page is restricted to 1170px. This could be the reason the background plugin is not working correctly. However we can try and help you debug this issue as quickly as possible.

    Please change the DOM element in the background takeover plugin settings area to html.

    Please keep us updated as to the status,

    Thank you,

    Hello – Thank you for contacting support. We just checked your site and it seems like the background ad is clickable and it leads to – https://www.nasexpert.fr/. The DOM element you chose – .main-wrap is the current and correct DOM element.

    Please let us know if the issue is still persisting for you. If it is, please let us know which screen size, browser, and the device it is occurring on.

    Hello Jason – Please send us a screenshot of your plugin settings area, so that we know what content should be displayed there. We checked this on our end, and we were able to download the correct CSV with all the apt data.

    Also as we have not received any other similar ticket regarding an issue with the exports, it would be worthwhile to check for plugin or theme conflicts.

    Hello Jose Salazar – We tested this on our end, and we could not replicate the issue. We see that the filters are working correctly and also we have not received any other such requests and therefore we are inclined to think that this might be a plugin or theme conflict on your end.

    However, first please make sure you click on Apply on the filter modal/popup for the filter to work.

    Hello Paw,

    Each Ad in the background takeover plugin has their own impressions and clicks statistics. However, to measure your own clicks and impressions, you can use javascript to count how many times the background has been clicked for the DOM element you have placed in the plugin settings.

    Currently, there is no feature that allows you to add your own tracking code to an AD.

    Please let us know if you have any additional questions

    Hello Paolo – It seems, that the conflict lies with the theme you are currently using. Also we see that the custom background is still active.

    Therefore we recommend you ask the theme developers if there is a way to turn off / deactivate the custom background feature in the theme.

    You can submit a support request here:

    Hello Paola

    Custom Backgrounds is a theme feature in WordPress which allows theme developers to enable support for background color and image customization. If custom backgrounds support is enabled in a theme, then the users can upload their own background images to use with the theme, or select a background color. It is NOT a feature of our plugin.

    This can be generated by the theme OR by a plugin –

    Testing for Plugin & Theme Conflict:

    We recommend that you perform this test on your staging site and that you backup your site.  If you do not have a staging site then you might not be able to perform this test as deactivating plugins or your theme will greatly impact the look and functionality of your site.

    If there are no conflicts – Please go with the following steps:

    Step 1:

    Please refer to the attached document to know more about Custom Backgrounds and How to remove/disable it.

    Definition:
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/custom-backgrounds/

    Code Insight:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_Backgrounds

    Remove / Disable Custom Backgrounds:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/remove_custom_background

    ——————————————–

    Step 2:

    If the above step doesn’t work, you can try the following:

    Please open your theme’s functions.php file and add the following line of code:

    remove_theme_support( ‘custom-background’ );

    The functions.php file can be found in wp-content > themes > ActiveTheme > functions.php.

    ———————————————–

    Step 3:

    Lastly, if both of the above methods do not work,

    Please contact your theme author’s support desk, and ask them how to disable the custom-background feature. Unfortunately, the theme should have created in a way that disabling theme_support for the custom-background should truly disable the theme’s built-in functionality.

    Once that is done, the plugin will work without any other adjustments. We’ve already tested this on a clean install and it works fine. As evidence, you can also try the plugin on another site using a different theme, and you’ll see it works perfectly.
