I need to translate the text shown in the “Name” and “Surname” fields of the newsletter templates.
Where can I find that text in order to change it to italian?
Is there also a multilanguage support of any kind?

    Hello alcova,

The two parts of text you are describing are not currently translatable. If you want to change the text you will have to modify the plugin itself.

Also, the plugin is translation ready but we just don’t have the translation files in Italian in order to translate it. So overall Popup Fire is only translatable with the text input you provide in the settings.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

What part of the plugin shall I modify in order to do that?
It’s really strange to have a website in italian, the popup text in italian and then see “Name” and “Surname” in the input fields… :(

Yes we do understand your frustration and we will absolutely take your feedback into consideration for future releases of the plugin.

For now you would have to edit the plugin’s files directly, which is something we do not recommend. This is because if you update the plugin in the future your changes will be erased and overridden.

Since you understand this issue, we will help you out in modifying the plugin :) The “Last Name” field appears in multiple places inside the plugin folder, all of which depend on what template you are using. So if you go to the /wpsite-popups/templates/template-2/template-2.php file you will see the HTML for the Newsletter form.

Inside the template-2.php file you can search for placeholder=”Name”, its around line 32. You can replace “Name” with whatever you want and that should fix your problem. Now if you use a different template then you will have to do the same thing for that other template file.

Let us know if you have any troubles.
