Hi. The Firebar does show correctly when I hit “preview”, but it doesn’t work on my site. I deactivated all plugins and it still doesn’t work. It does work on my mobile site. So, I assume it is a conflict with my theme, but changing themes is not an option. Can you help me?
(p.s. I saw another thread that mentioned php….my version is 5.4.)June 9, 2015 at 7:46 pm #5307
Welcome to the community :)
There does seem to be an issue with your Recent Posts, smooth slider on the bottom right of your site. Please deactivate this and see if the FireBar will display.
Thank you very much for your reply. Smooth Slider is deactivated. Firebar isn’t showing. Anything else we can do?
Thank you!June 10, 2015 at 12:21 pm #5305
Once these errors are removed FireBar will work. I tried to figure out what file that error was coming from but I was unable to. My best guess is that if you have any custom avatar features in your theme or plugins try to deactivate them.
Also, it seems that your theme uses an outdated version of jQuery, which could also be causing these problems.
The more I investigate the more it seems that your theme is just outdated and not built using the WordPress best practices.June 10, 2015 at 12:51 pm #5304
Thank you. I have tried to deactivate all plugins. I will look into the avatar features.
Yes, this most likely is an outdated theme. Would I be able to hire you to bring it up to date?June 10, 2015 at 5:19 pm #5303

If you feel this project could be a rather large one, which it looks like it is, it may be best to do a one time theme cleanup and update. This would be different than the maintenance service and would most likely cost more.
Please let us know what you would want to do and you can contact us directly anytime.June 10, 2015 at 5:24 pm #5302
Could you please give me a quote on the theme cleanup and update?June 10, 2015 at 5:29 pm #5301
There is really no way for me to give you a quote without looking at the back-end and code of your theme and site. Like I stated above, once you submit a ticket to us and give us your information and login credentials, we will be able to give you a good estimate.
We would not want to give you a quote that is inaccurate, so I hope you understand why we need that information first :)June 10, 2015 at 5:32 pm #5300
Oh, that’s fine. I didn’t see you mention anything about submitting a ticket or login info. I will do that. I am very interested in doing this. Thank you.June 11, 2015 at 11:02 am #5299
Sounds great :) We will await your submission.
