    Hi,

    My website is: http://growpon.codes

I’ve had the plugin installed for 6 hours+ but the popular custom post types still aren’t appearing in the list…

    Hello mattszwandt,

    Welcome to the community :)

Can you please send me a couple links to products on your site. This way I can view them as a non-user to see if there recording views.

Just click any of them. Nothing shows in the sidebar.

The widget has recognised my custom post type, but just refuses to show any listings.

    That is very strange.

When I go to to product page the view is recorded. You can see by this screenshot.

Please try to change the Time Range to All Time to see if there is an issue with the Time Range setting. If there is any issue with our plugin we will fix immediately, but we just want to make sure this is not a setup error.

I changed it to All Time, but it didn’t make a difference, unfortunately.

Could you take a look at it?

Can you please try to have it select all post types. This will give us an idea if there is an issue with the custom post type abilities of the plugin.

Okay, it’s on All Post Types. No change.

Try to deselect the Display Asynchronously setting.

Sorry that this seems like you are beta testing this right now, but we are just unable to replicate your error.

It’s kind of working now. Do you have a shortcode though to display listings?

I am confused by your question. Have you seen the shortcode builder in your post edit screen? It is a button right next to the Add Media button.

How do I change the colours with css?

If you select the override theme’s styling setting you will then see the text color option. This will give you the ability to change the color of all the text in the widget.

So you can’t even customise the colours with css? How else can I customizse the colours if not with css? Is there any way at all?

I’d like to use my own shades of green instead of the presets.

If you would like to add your own custom CS to your theme to style the widget you can very easily. Every element in the widget is targetable and you can style it however you want to.

For instance the title has the class nnr-pp-title

Can I replace the 5 different colours in the Fancy Style with my own css generated colours?

If so, please could you let me know the class’ cause I can’t find any.

All I see is hardcoded <div>’s so if I have to edit directly into the php file please guide m on which file to edit.

    Thanks.

If you really want to change the background color of each one you can use CSS like this

    .nnr-pp-fancy-colors + .nnr-pp-fancy-colors-content {}
    .nnr-pp-fancy-colors + .nnr-pp-fancy-colors-content + .nnr-pp-fancy-colors-content {}

Can you please give an example with a colour hex tied to a class?

Editing all of the colours is a feature I’m sure a lot of people would be expecting to use.

Yes I understand that you would like to be able to edit every single color individually, but that is currently not possible at the moment.

As for the CSS class names, there are no exact class names that have respective hex values. As you can see we add the background color as a style attribute to the div not a class.

We will absolutely take your feedback into consideration for a future release but at the moment you will need to add your own custom CSS to achieve the results you want.

I must be able to edit the code at applies colour to the presets though right?

Can’t I just change a few of the presets to match my colours?

Let me know which php file to edit, and that’ll do fine. Thanks.

We highly recommend that you do not edit any files as all changes will be erased if you update the plugin in the future.

If you still feel that you want to edit the files you can change the output of the Fancy Colors layout in /wp-popular-posts-pro/widget.php at line 931.

Good Luck and we hope that you are unable to get your desired result :)

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
